  • Packaging and Shipping Logistics

    Hello Songbird Family,

First, we’re happy to report that progress continues on the aluminum components. Manufacturing is moving forward, and we expect all of these parts to be completed and ready for final assembly with the rest of the hamper within the next 5–6 weeks.

On the shipping front, we’ve been carefully evaluating several third-party logistics (3PL) companies and are narrowing down the options that best fit our needs. Our current top contender is ShipBob, which operates multiple fulfillment centers nationwide. One of their facilities is conveniently located near our Wisconsin production site, simplifying delivery logistics from the factory. In addition, they operate a West Coast hub, which helps reduce shipping times and costs for customers across the country.

One challenge we’ve been working through relates to the overall size of the package. Shipping costs increase significantly with every additional cubic inch, so we’ve decided to ship the Ultimate Hamper partially unassembled. To make this work smoothly, we’re re-engineering a few elements to ensure a simple and seamless assembly process for our customers. In particular, the rear wheels will ship unattached, and we’re refining the design so installation is quick, intuitive, and reliable.

Finally, I want to sincerely apologize for the delays. Bringing a new product to market has proven more complex than we initially anticipated. Please know that we are working diligently to deliver a product that truly meets the quality and experience we envisioned from the beginning. I’m deeply grateful for your patience and support as we continue this journey together.

The finish line is still in sight. Even if progress sometimes feels more like crawling than running, we are moving steadily forward.

    Until next time, happy laundering.

    Yours Truly,

    Tina

  • The Steel Molds Have Arrived (Finally!)

    Hello Songbird Family,

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: the steel molds have safely made their journey across the Pacific! They’re now in Wisconsin, where they’re being cleaned, inspected, and mounted onto our factory machines to begin production.

Our manufacturing team is currently engineering the full production workflow, carefully coordinating the plastic-molded components with the aluminum parts to ensure everything comes together seamlessly. At the same time, we’re hard at work finalizing our packaging design and partnering with a third-party logistics provider (3PL) to get The Ultimate Hamper safely into your hands.

This is a huge milestone for The Ultimate Hamper, and we can’t wait to share photos of the very first units coming off the production line.

While it’s still difficult to provide an exact shipping date, please know that we’re working closely with our partners to prioritize quality and create a product you’ll truly enjoy. If all goes well, our current goal is to begin shipping in late Spring. We’ll continue to keep you updated every step of the way.

    Until then—happy laundering!

    Yours Truly,

    Tina

  • Update on Aluminum Parts & Preparation for Shipping

    Hello Songbird Family,

We’re excited to share that the aluminum components of the Ultimate Hamper are now finalized! Below, you’ll see a fully assembled Ultimate Hamper featuring the actual handlebar and rotating hanging bar. While the plastic components attached to the aluminum parts will be color-matched in the final version, we’re already thrilled with how it looks—and how solid it feels.

After an extensive search for a U.S.-based aluminum fabricator, we’re happy to report that we found an excellent partner in Wisconsin, conveniently located near our main production facility. This allows us to proudly fulfill our commitment to making the Ultimate Hamper in the USA.

As everything continues to come together, and while we await the arrival of the steel molds for the plastic components, we’ll be reaching out to our Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers to confirm color preferences and shipping addresses.

If you pre-ordered through our online store, we’ll also be contacting you to verify your shipping information, in case anything has changed since your order was placed.

This holiday season, we’re deeply grateful for both the blessings—and the challenges—of bringing this product to life. As we head into the new year, we’re excited to fulfill all pre-orders. Thank you all for your continued patience and support.

    Yours Truly,

    Tina

  • Steel Molds Finalized!

    Hello Songbird Family!

After a long and detailed development process, we’re excited to share that our production molds have been fully finalized! This comes after several rounds of test shots shipped from our overseas partners for inspection. Along the way, we fine-tuned multiple design elements—including the embossed logo, bin texture, fitment positioning and sizing, and the removal of the two handle holes on the back of the bin.

Today, we’re thrilled to report that all adjustments are complete, and we’ve officially given the green light to pack up and ship the molds to our factory in Wisconsin. Transit time is estimated at 6–8 weeks (big, heavy ships move slowly!). The shipment contains several thousand pounds of precision steel.

Once the molds arrive, our factory team will mount them onto the machines, engineer the production workflow, and begin manufacturing. From there, we’ll be ready to start shipping to our customers!

Given the updated timeline, it’s unlikely we’ll be able to ship before the holidays. We sincerely apologize for the delay — our goal was to have the Ultimate Hamper delivered before Christmas, but the tooling process took longer than expected. That said, we’re confident the extra time has allowed us to perfect every detail, ensuring a high-end, functional product you’ll be proud to own.

Here are some of the sample shots:
