Hello Songbird Family,

While our factory continues working through the remaining issues with the mold for the hamper bin, we’ve also been working closely with our packaging supplier to finalize the box design and begin printing.

We’re excited to share that all of the boxes have now been produced and printed and are ready to be packed with the Ultimate Hamper! They look great, and it’s exciting to see another major piece of the process completed.

At this time, we’re waiting for additional updates from the manufacturing team as they address the issues identified during our quality assurance process for the large bin. This remains the biggest hurdle we need to overcome before we can move into full production and shipping.

As we’ve shared previously, these manufacturing challenges were completely unforeseen and have resulted in a much longer delay than we ever anticipated or wanted. We are incredibly grateful for your continued patience and understanding as we work carefully through each issue and move closer to production.

Hello Songbird Family,

What has already been a long journey has become a bit more complicated due to an unexpected manufacturing issue.

All of our steel molds were produced in China. Before shipping them to our U.S. factories, we reviewed multiple sample shots and completed a rigorous quality assurance process to ensure that every plastic component met our standards. After several rounds of refinements and multiple international shipments, the molds were finalized and sent to our manufacturing facility in Wisconsin.

Once the molds were installed, the sample shots for all of the smaller plastic components came out perfectly. However, the larger plastic bin presented several technical issues that required further attention.

As shown in the images, the primary issues have now been identified, and our tooling partner in China has provided additional specifications to correct them. We are currently waiting for our Wisconsin factory to coordinate with a local tooling shop to ensure that the finished bin fully aligns with our original design and quality standards.

We sincerely apologize for this unexpected delay. This is the last major hurdle before we can move into full production, and we will continue to keep you updated as the situation progresses.

Hello Songbird Family,

We are excited to share that we have finalized our packaging design and are pleased to announce that the Ultimate Hamper will ship fully assembled.

Thanks to our 3PL partner, who specializes in large and bulky items, we were able to secure pricing for a larger box at only a modest increase compared to the smaller box originally planned for the unassembled hamper. This means your experience receiving and unboxing the Ultimate Hamper will be much easier, smoother, and more enjoyable.

We also have another exciting production update. After completing some required modifications to the factory press, the mold for the large bin has now been mounted, and we have produced the first sample shots of the Ultimate Hamper at our U.S. factory.

Moving the 16,000-pound steel mold required a specialized crane, and we are grateful that the process went smoothly and seamlessly. The next step is to thoroughly clean all of the tooling. As you can see, the first test shots have some staining, but once the tooling is fully cleaned, we will begin our first manufacturing run. That run will include the full assembly of all smaller plastic components and aluminum parts.

This is such an exciting milestone for us, and we are grateful to have you along for the journey. We will continue to keep you updated as we move closer to production and shipping.

Hello Songbird Family,

We’re happy to report that all of the aluminum parts have been extruded, powder coated, and delivered to our factory. We are currently producing the plastic injection-molded parts, and once those are complete, we will begin assembly.

In the meantime, we are working closely with our packaging company to reduce the box size as much as possible and minimize shipping costs. Our hope is to ship the Ultimate Hamper fully assembled, which would be amazing. We will continue to provide updates as we finalize the details with our 3PL and packaging supplier.
