  • Update on Tooling Process

    Hello Songbird Family,

We’re thrilled to share the latest updates as we put the finishing touches on the Ultimate Hamper!

Our large bin mold is in its final stages, and after a meticulous quality assurance process, we’re reviewing new test shots to ensure every detail meets our highest standards. In the video below, you’ll see the actual bin coming fresh off the tool—an exciting step toward bringing this vision to life!

Meanwhile, the dies for the aluminum components—the handle bar and rotating hanging bar—are being cast and will be ready in the coming weeks. With each milestone, we’re moving closer to production and shipping.

Thank you for your patience and for joining us on the journey to create the world’s first all-in-one laundry hamper. We can’t wait for you to experience it—trust us, it’s going to be worth the wait!

    Yours Truly,

    Tina

  • Sourcing Aluminum Parts

    Sourcing Aluminum Parts

    Hello Songbird Family!

Happy Independence Day!  As we celebrate our nation's freedom, we wanted to provide additional updates on our manufacturing.  All the molds for the plastic components have undergone a rigorous QA process, and our initial test shots have provided valuable data towards refining each tool.  We should be shipping those to the Wisconsin production facility in the coming weeks.

The aluminum parts, which comprise the handlebar and the rotating hanging bar, have presented some unique sourcing challenges.  We've vetted several extrusion companies, and even explored overseas options.  Given the current tariff environment, it makes the most sense to engage a domestic vendor.  Moreover, finding a vendor who could not only extrude the parts, but also perform welding and anodizing was a high priority.  We're happy to announce that we've found one such company (with over 40 years of experience) that not only can achieve these goals, but is also conveniently located just two hours from the main production facility.  We're proud to engage a partner that would allow us to say with confidence, "Made in the USA!"

Shout out to Paramount Extrusions who introduced us to the entire extrusion process and really helped point us in the right direction.  Come along with me in this video as I explore aluminum extrusion for the Ultimate Hamper.

Stay tuned for additional updates as we near our target shipping date!

    Yours Truly,

    Tina

  • Steel Molds Are Complete! (And NEW estimated shipping timeline...)

    Hello Songbird Family,

It's official.  All the tools have been made, and we have test shots that are being evaluated for quality assurance.  Take a look at these parts!

Once all QA is complete, the molds will be shipped overseas to our factory in Wisconsin to begin production.  That should take about 4-6 weeks.  The aluminum parts for the handlebar and rotating hanging bar are being produced all domestically in the USA.

That puts us a little beyond our projected ship date of June 2025.  Based on our best estimates at this point, we should be able to ship some time in August or September 2025.  We are so grateful for your patience as we undertake this journey together.  We can't wait to show you the full assembly with all the manufactured parts!

    Yours Truly,

    Tina

  • First shots off the mold!

    Hello Songbird Family,

It's happening!  The Ultimate Hamper is literally taking shape one piece at a time.  The first molds have produced their first test shots.  We've created the button for the rotating mechanism, and the wheel caps.

The trial quality control reports have been excellent, and we're looking forward to sharing more production videos as we prepare for manufacturing.

    Until next time, happy laundering!

    Your Truly,

    Tina
