Sourcing Aluminum Parts

Hello Songbird Family!
Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate our nation's freedom, we wanted to provide additional updates on our manufacturing. All the molds for the plastic components have undergone a rigorous QA process, and our initial test shots have provided valuable data towards refining each tool. We should be shipping those to the Wisconsin production facility in the coming weeks.
The aluminum parts, which comprise the handlebar and the rotating hanging bar, have presented some unique sourcing challenges. We've vetted several extrusion companies, and even explored overseas options. Given the current tariff environment, it makes the most sense to engage a domestic vendor. Moreover, finding a vendor who could not only extrude the parts, but also perform welding and anodizing was a high priority. We're happy to announce that we've found one such company (with over 40 years of experience) that not only can achieve these goals, but is also conveniently located just two hours from the main production facility. We're proud to engage a partner that would allow us to say with confidence, "Made in the USA!"
Shout out to Paramount Extrusions who introduced us to the entire extrusion process and really helped point us in the right direction. Come along with me in this video as I explore aluminum extrusion for the Ultimate Hamper.
Stay tuned for additional updates as we near our target shipping date!
Yours Truly,
Tina
